Who Stole My Megahurts?

Just curious here…sometimes my 1.83GHz processor will show as a different clock speed as shown in the screenshot. It’ll swap back to 1.83GHz every so often. What’s going on when this happens?Might be intel speed step where it reduces the multiplyer when the cpu is not under load. It’s showing what your processor is [...]

PHP classes and include()

I have a php class, with a function called "getContent". In the function "getContent()" i need to use a bunch of other functions to process and output the content. These other functions are all written in a separate file called "funcs.php" which is referenced by other php programs that use them. How [...]

E-mail address Accounts

I have an internet stalker who is a psychopath.
Florida laws are not much help
I am trying to get an email address account that strips headers as well that will only allow me to receive emails from my contact list.

Google Code Jam Comp! Whos doing it?!

The prelim round is now, finishes in like 7hrs.oh look, thousands of lines of more horrible code encouraged by the google code monkeys.

So my DSL company’s selling point over cable is the fact that "you aren’t sharing a connection with your neighbors." Riiiiiiiight…you only have a dedicated line for the few hundred feet back to the DSLAM. Once you reach the DSLAM…you are at the mercy of network congestion.
On that note…here is a smokeping for my [...]

Here is the installer I created/repackaged:
Now if you install that, you’ll notice that all of the extensions install just fine, except for one: PriceAdvance. Actually, it seems to install fine too, but it needs to be updated (right-click and choose "Find Update" from the AddOns menu in FF and it works fine).

Now my problem is [...]

A couple of VPN questions.

1. Does anyone know, or know of a good explanation of, how to set up a L2TP VPN based on a Windows Server 2003 machine? I’m tired of dicking around with little metal boxes running proprietary OSes that are impossible to configure without a special training class offered by the manufacturer.
2. Why do IPSEC VPNs [...]

anyone try installing osx on a lenovo?

I’ve been searching around for some good guides to try installing osx86 onto my lenovo t61p. just trying it out to mess around. has anyone tried it out? any tips?None whatsoever.
I’d be surprised if you’d ever get it working, considering Apple tightly restricts driver development so that only Apple hardware can work [...]

Is the safe operating voltage for a CPU the one set in BIOS or after vdroop?

Say I set the voltage for 1.4V in BIOS but after vdroop it reads at 1.36 in windows (CPU-Z), which one do you go by? I think the limit Intel has for the E8400 is 1.36.If you think 0.04V is going to make a different, you are wrong. Also you are using software to [...]
