anyone try installing osx on a lenovo?
I’ve been searching around for some good guides to try installing osx86 onto my lenovo t61p. just trying it out to mess around. has anyone tried it out? any tips?
None whatsoever.
I’d be surprised if you’d ever get it working, considering Apple tightly restricts driver development so that only Apple hardware can work with OSX.
That, and there isn’t enough to be gained by using OSX to make it worthwhile for most people who want to hack it to bother actually doing so.
well i found this site that seems to be working on it
i have leo4all v3 on my c2d desktop. its nice to use visualhub. thats the only reason i use it, because i don’t want to have to give up my macbook to convert videos, my desktop is faster also
it’s somewhat crippled though, sometimes the usb mouse won’t work and it will want a ps/2 mouse vice verse. the gigabit ethernet usually will not operate at gigabit speeds or will not work at all, i tried multiple adapters. you roll the dice when you boot it up, sometimes usb and gigabit will work just great
also, the resolution is stuck at 1024×768
jolly should be in here shortly telling you how this thread should be locked because it infringes on some eula or something
that name rings a bell, didn’t apple file a lawsuit against them?
