Computer does not recognize USB *HELP*
Hello,
I just bought a wireless mouse for my HP DV8210US and for some reason every time I plug in the USB device into my USB port the computer comes up with an error message that says "Does not recognize device". Any help as to solve this problem would be appreciated. Thanks guys.
Tried to put in a 2gb flash drive and the comp wouldn’t recognize as well. I tried to put it in all the USB ports, but it seems the comp just doesn’t want to work!
make sure you have drivers installed for it. you can tell windows to look online for usb drivers… It’s the only thing I tell windows to automatically do. Otherwise you might have to enable or change options in bios under integrated peripherals.
Check Universal Serial Bus Controller under device manager. There might be some other entry to check also (someone else chime in here if there is or isn’t?). But basically check to see if device manager is spotting any errors with anything there.
Question: If he’s telling windows to look for USB drivers, he would start in control panel and click add hardware and then try adding your USB Host Controller? Is that the way to go about it?
