HP computer turns on and off
I’m trying to figure out whats wrong with my friends computer. I’m no computer expert but I’m not completely illiterate either. They brought over a HP computer telling me that it turns on and shuts off within a few seconds. I powered it on and noticed that nothing came out on the screen. The computer was on for a few minutes, so I assumed it was a video card problem. I turned the computer off and tired putting the monitor into the video card slot that comes standard on the motherboard. Turned on the computer again and it shut off within 10 seconds. So I’m thinking its not a video card problem. The only thing I can think of is the power supply. Anyone else got any ideas? I opened up the case and everything seems to be working properly.
So by switching the port the cable is getting plugged into, you deducted that one of those devices cant be the problem? Why the hell did they give you the computer to fix?
