make files unsearchable?

what if you have some files on your computer you don’t want your girlfriend to see. Besides hiding it in a deep dark secret folder, is there a way to make those certain files unsearchable?
I think my girlfriend did a search for ".avi" or ".mpg" and came across some naughty stuff

do i just set the folder to "hidden" in the properties?
this only helps with "files containing" and speeds up general stuff. indexing doesn’t select whats searchable or not

I thought if you made them hidden, windows search would only find them if you typed in the exact name of the file. Maybe make the directory hidden and only unhide them when you want to access them. Better yet, get your girl used to the fact that you look at porn. Maybe even get her into it with stuff she might like.

Put the shit on an external hard drive and unplug it when you’re not whacking off.

Make a folder for .avi extensions and another for .mpg ones (to keep them separated). Delete all extensions. When you want to watch the video, just add the extension back on.

I set my naughty folder to hidden, and placed it even deeper and more complex on my harddrive lolz.
I tried some deliberate searches and nothing came up

That’s the beauty of TrueCrypt, the program I suggested earlier. You can name the volume anything you want and stuff it in the Windows folder or something. When you need what ever is in it, you mount it as another hard drive then unmount it when you’re finished. Unless she starts checking file sizes randomly, she wouldn’t have a clue.
He was talking about encrypting the files, but not making them invisible to her. NTFS encryption doesn’t hide the existence of encrypted files, which is stupid.
So, if she searched for *.mpg and found "tweenage lesbian anal orgy.mpg" and she couldn’t open it because it was encrypted, you bet your ass that would cause trouble.

Actually, no he wasn’t. Read the first post – he wants to hide his porn so that she can’t simply search by *.avi.
How it got this far is beyond me…
Nobody said anything about encrytion. They mentioned file security.. Which should work as well. If you set the permissions on a folder to your own login and deny to all others no one can search it but you. And trying to navigate to it will give an access denied error
unless you have a trusting relationship where she knows your p/w
all of this just to hide porn. wtf. why even keep it. there’s so much of that crap out there.
