using adobe premiere on a mac
what would be the best format to put a movie on a CD? it is unknown what the OS and software will be on the target computer, which will ultimately play the movie. it’s not a full-length movie, just a promotional video. not sure on the exact length
I’ve googled for it but there are many conflicting answers. I trust the OT folks…..mostly…..so can someone give me a quick run down on which formats would be best and why?
put multiple formatted versions of the video on the CD? i have no idea what would be "best" universally.

I have an old laptop hardrive. It is from a dell inspiron, not sure which model, from about 5 years ago. I have bought things online that are supposed to allow you to plug up your old harddrive through a USB port, but none of them have had a connection I can use. This harddrive has thousands of pics from my childhood on it, along with vacation photos and tons of other important stuff. I have it sitting around and I really would like to get the files off of it. I tried putting it in another dell laptop at one time, but it wouldnt recognize the hard drive.

I installed a program that does something like what vista does with it’s gui ALT-TAB. Computer started bluescreening right away. Did a repair and it slowed down but didn’t stop. (once a month)
Thinking about doing a repair but really don’t want to. I know you guys are going to say reinstall and the drive is partitioned but I don’t want too. I have a legit copy but no cd and I don’t want to pay 10-20$ from ms for a ‘repair’ cd or whatever they send out.
I was thinking about running a repair (or an install if I can) from my mothers copy of xp. Then using the my cd key. The build # doesn’t matter when you do this or what? That’s my main question.

Mobo: Intel DG35EC
RAM: 2×1G Corsair Twin-x 800MHz
CPU: E2180
I picked up another Twinx pair today, 2×2G 800MHz. When I added the new RAM the system booted up reporting one of the 1G sticks as 256MB. I have the newest BIOS.
If I swap the 2G sticks to channel B with the 1G sticks in channel A the system wont boot.
I’m starting to think there is a problem with the mobo.
Any thoughts?
Figured it out. My RAID card isnt playing nice. If I pull it the system boots up showing the proper amount of RAM.

Does anyone know of some good references to read up on regarding circular references (ie. why they’re bad and how to resolve them)? It’s been a while since I did a db course or worked in any depth with db structure and now I need the info for a side project. I know that circular refs are ‘bad’ but that’s about the extent of my knowledge. I also Googled but I’ve got the wrong search terms because I couldn’t find anything that seemed to relate (just stuff for code, not databases).
Basically, I have 4 tables. Each table has a single field as PK. Each table also has a single FK which points to one other table’s PK. It’s a perfect little cirle, or square I guess. All of the relationships seem necessary to me, and the table structure is about as efficient as I can make it without redundancy. Since I might need to update any of those tables at any given time, I’m guessing I need to break the circle somewhere.

Okay here’s what I’m doing - I’m trying to get this php page to connect to a Unix box and (an ESX box)
and execute some commands.
It connects fine, and even executes SOME commands just fine.
Heres the code:
<?php
$doit = "vim-cmd vmsvc/getallvms" ;
$connection = ssh2_connect('192.168.10.9', 22);
ssh2_auth_password($connection, 'root', 'mysecret');
$cmd = shell_exec($doit)
if ($cmd){echo('pass <br><br>');}
else{echo('fail<br><br>');}
echo ($cmd);
?>
Now that if statement is solely to see if the commands are being executed.

Hey guys,
i am pretty stumped on this and was wondering if anybody has seen this issue and if familiar with slideshow pro.
The slideshow works perfectly fine when viewed in Internet Explorer, but when you view it in firefox or safari, it looks like it is having trouble reading the xml file to retrieve the images.
Basically the flash works but the images do not show up. All images are all white background.
check it out here:
The swf file is inserted into the website and inside the swf file, it calls for an xml file which has a bunch of intructions on what to display and where the images are.

I’m going to shoot my old iPhone, which is broken, with a .45 APC glaser safety slug wrapped in leather, with pork ribs and a watermelon behind it to simulate a guy wearing a leather jacket.

So, according to Tom’s Hardware, SSD drives actually use more battery power than regular drives.
Dude, that suck. Considering that I get like 2 hours tops on my fucking piece of shit MBP battery right now when wifi is on.
I can pull 3h+ still with my MB with my battery at 74% life.
