/rant
You can create (or modify) folders that deny access to admins
but, as an admin, you can take over ownership of any file, right?

anyway, that isn’t new to vista. i know i’ve seen that in XP when someone created a file/folder and took away everyone else’s permissions.

only if admin is part of the users, usually by default its on the list
How do you disable UAC without Vista bitching at you constantly about it, anyway?
I’m aware you can restrict files, and aware you can unrestrict them. But I created these files on my one and only user account

Can’t move or delete them

This is the first thing Vista has ever done to annoy me

There are a few ways…. Go to msconfig -> tools and scroll down to disable UAC, select and hit launch. Requires a reboot.

I got some error like that the other day while trying to delete a folder. It was nothing a reboot couldn’t fix…

Another method, if you have Vista Ultimate is to set UAC to auto accept all requests. Its then still active but won’t bother you. This can be done with other versions of Vista via the registry, its an option in Ultimate.
zomg NTFS permissions doing their job? unpossible.

Honestly, if you can’t figure out something so simple then you should not be doing it.

So he has been banned from C&P?
He was warned. Then he was banned. Now he’s back. Next time he will be banned for longer. It escalates.
Too many chances. After I made that ban request I was informed he was to be banned from C&P. Maybe that is still in the works idk.

But imo it’s gone far enough.
I don’t like him much myself, but this is not an appropriate conversation to be having in public, at least not in someone else’s thread.
His hate-filled posts are a menace, and discussing them is our therapy. Also note: its the OP who is talking about it.
You’re going to make me go dig up the post where you expressed an undying love for him, and a desire to know him in the Babylonian sense, aren’t you.
Yeah we shouldn’t get into it here though.
