Microsoft Outlook: Best Practices to organize contacts

Well I have this question on how to better organize my contacts
How do you guys organize them in your address book?
The way I have it done so far is I created folders for Suppliers, Staffing organizations, Sponsors, Hotels, Work…
I’m an event freelancer, and was thinking of doing something better for the Work section.
Since I work [...]

Going to tech school…What should I study?

The completion of the courses offered by this school will result in being Microsoft Certified.
I have basically narrowed my choices down to two courses: Systems Engineer or BI Developer (stands for Business Intelligence).
Does anyone here have a career in these two field or know anything about them? I hear that BI Developers are in [...]

I just reinstalled windows xp just to find out i have less space

My laptop has a 60gig hardrive (52 in ntfs terms). So I decided to reinstall XP, thus deleting everything because my laptop’s performance was shitty at best. I was getting highly variable fps on old games.
So anyways, everything went fine, but now I just realized my computer has 36 gigs of free space. Where did [...]

Programming for Beginners

I am looking to get into programming/Dev work.
I have been doing HW/network/tech support for a long time and I am burned out on it. I was talking to one of our developers at work and he suggested reading up on and starting with C# and ASP.net.
Any suggestions/thoughts/book recommendations for a newby? I have absolutely 0 [...]

After my computer woes, I am going to just go with a pre built computer

After trying to build my own and all that shit my computer has died again so I’m just saying fuck it and buying a pre-built now. I was looking at this guy and it seemed like a pretty good deal.

Point-of-sale Recommendations

I’m working with a regional company that has 20 retail locations and is using a cryptic, difficult point-of-sale system. I feel like the current POS system is dated by at least ten years. Writing reports is tedious and syncing with the web requires a lot of ‘hacking.’ Does anyone have experience with [...]

Does anyone actually LIKE Windows Vista?

I can’t see any positives.. I recently (yesterday) got a new laptop from HP. Its a beast compared to my old computer, yet I really don’t feel like I’ve made an improvement in performance.
My old computer had Windows XP and Ubuntu Fiesty installed
2.8 Ghz Pentium 4
512 [...]

Asus G50 vs Sager NP8660 notebooks

I’m leaning towards the Sager. Better card (9800M GT vs 9700M GT), better looks (elegant Sager vs. boy-racer Asus), DDR3 memory……..but spec’d out the way I want it, it’s $2300.
The Asus is cheaper at around $1700.
My limit’s $2500 and hopefully I’ll have my current laptop sold (someone’s interested — $800) so that should [...]
